| As per usual, I've been prompted by JediJanet to make an entry. Unfortunately, I have no idea where to begin, seeing as it's been over a year since my last entry, and even that one was somewhat emo-vague (well, they all were).
Well, Xanga has certainly changed-- I remember when it was a text box and basic HTML tag buttons. Now there's a fancy GUI and stuffs. It probably won't make me blog more, but it's nice!
Let's see...I'm somewhere between 41 and 60 credits into my college career, which is turning more and more into a career the longer I'm here. But more on that later. Since October 20th, 2006, the following has occurred: November: Marching band got really crappy then ended, Thanksgiving was socially awkward but tasty, classes bored me. I also went to see Tenacious D in concert! December: I studied like crazy for my finals, and managed to pull off decent grades (and a tasty spot on the Dean's list). Christmas was awful, seeing as my entire family managed to pick up the stomach flu, but I learned to knit! New years was pretty amazing too, as I got to spend it with my Pattycakes January: My dad spent this entire month with various kidney-related problems, so it pretty much blew. February: The marching band banquet was socially awkward but tasty. We ended up ditching halfway for a girls' night. I went home for my birthday (don't hate). I also decided perhaps evening Physics classes is a bad idea. Oh, and I got a job with Event and Conference Services, doing the tech stuffs. March: I think the most amazing part of March was driving home in a brand new 2007 Toyota Yaris!!! That thing gets ridiculous gas mileage, which is good, cuz I'm cheap. I can't even remember doing anything else over spring break...oh! I went to Joss for sushi. My life is exciting. April: Somehow I ended up with mononucleosis...not a highly recommended choice of ailments, unless you like feeling like Advil is the only thing keeping you alive. I don't recall much of April, other than being a zombie in class, and a zombie doing homework. I think I worked the NMS musical...*thinks*...Guys and Dolls. Yeah, I worked that, but I'm not sure it was in April. May: In May I was a zombie taking finals. There was also Tigerfest...my friend Maddie is the most hilarious drunk I have ever met. We stayed at Tigerfest for a total of 25 minutes...it took twice as long to wait in the line to get in. I think by the end of May I got better, which was awesome because I had to find a summer job. June: I got a job working at the Target in Bowie...that was...interesting. I essentially organized shelves all day, which is literally the most boring task in the world. I also got yelled at by random morons, who I was obligated to be nice to. Not cool. July: I still worked at Target. I also had a life, but I cannot remember what that life entailed. I recall spending a lot of time with Pat/Mark/Jill...oh yeah, Pat's 20th birthday! We had a surprise party...I don't think he liked it very much, but it was very cute. August: I quit my job at Target. It was probably one of the happiest days of the summer, which is sad. I was generally unemployed for two weeks, buying little dealies at the new WalMart to go in the apartment I was about to move into. And then there was band camp. Luckily this year I'm living with my best friend Maddie, who is a brand of crazy I can deal with. Not completely neurotic Nikki. September: This semester's okay. I don't have any evening classes, but I have an 8am on Tuesday and Thursday. It's just "Computers and Creativity", but I still have to go. Marching band is pretty much crap...every problem I had with last season has been blown up to five times its size. Not to mention our lovely section leader, who has no idea how to do her job. Gah...I'm going to go out for section leader next season, if I'm doing band. October: Same stuff, different month. Halloween was awesome though! I was Sumomo from Chobits...the costume turned out awesome too. Props to my friend Mary downstairs for help with the sewing machine. Oh, and I quit the aforementioned job at E&CS, as the people in charge were pretty much the spawn of Satan, and had no idea employees had basic human rights. November: I'm only 8 days in, but this month is pretty crappy. I just found out today that I'm going to be here at least a year longer than I had originally thought...Towson's beginning to get on my nerves more than I can stand. First with the housing, then the parking, then the classes being messed up, and now being here an extra year? I'm afraid to stay, for what might happen next.
That's the jist of what happened in the past year. I know it's really concise, but I honestly don't have that exciting of a life to write about. Plus I'm sure nobody but the few that still post actually read this site anymore. Anyway, time for me to go back into hiding for another indeterminate amount of time.
*pops into a nearby manhole and closes the lid*

| wow...i'm long overdue for an update! i'm not even sure to begin, honestly...
well, i'm still in college. i've got 5 classes this semester (15 credits)... some of them are a little more difficult to handle than others, for sure like "honors women in perspective" apparently everything i'm forced to do is probably some sort of oppression and we should fight the oppression... but we still have to do homework every day it's all very absurd, if you ask me... still not 100% sure why towson decided to make that one a requirement hehe
i'm in the marching band here as well... front ensemble, of course it's definitely a different game than high school but as much as i complain about the insane amounts of practicing and not sleeping i do it's a good experience i've made a lot of good friends from it, which is worth it all in itself
um...what else... it's nice having everything within walking distance rather than a 15 minute drive, everything's a 10 minute walk bad for the wallet, though hehe
oh yeah i guess it's worth mentioning that my hair is very short now... i donated it to locks of love 2 or 3 weeks ago i kinda miss it but it's a good change
halloween's coming up there are a couple of fun things planned for that like decorating my floor and the band party so yeah life is alright i'll update again eventually rachel

| high school is over... there are a lot of things i'm ready to leave behind and even more things i know i'll miss thanks for everything, guys

anyways...where did my last entry end...prom? that was okay...i don't dance, so there wasn't much to do i did enjoy the company though the last two weeks of school were, to put it nicely, forgettable after that, working for abigail...holy crap...that was an experience between the 'morningwood express', lunch runs, and late-night antics, i learned more than i ever wanted to know about the male gender...hehe a whole week devoted to doing what i love...what a way to end the year
then came graduation it really came and went without me noticing its true significance... but...that's probably for the best in other news, becca's party was the most fun i've had in a good while i'm not very good at halo...hehe i figure i'll be a pro by christmas though...apparently, it's the official sport of college hehe
but yeah... guys, this is the prime of your lives don't make it a big regret rachel
